This week f0r math, I used number bonds equations.
First I completed a normal double sided workesheet on paper, it was pretty much number bonds repeating numbers with different equations.
Next I went to an digital worksheet but was still doing the work on paper, it was 40 or so questions to answer.
Lastly I bloged the task.
This week for Maths we were taught how to reflect shapes.
First I learnt translating shapes, and rotating shapes. Translate is to move a shape without turning it or flipping it. Rotating a shape is turning a shape in degrees. A 360 turn is a full spin. 180 is half of a full spin, so just turning the opposite way.
Next I started a task about reflecting, to reflect is to transform a shape or object the other way.
Lastly I bloged.
This week for Math we learnt and revised Place Value.
First I made a copy and I really liked the first two slides but they were time taking because of of each shape I had to place indiviudal.
Next I got onto the actual math equations.
Lastly I bloged.
I enjoyed this task because it was easy.
I was good at working out the equation.
I need to improve on making my blog longer and more detailed.
This week we revised what we already know about place value, we have also started learning about how a number can be represented in many ways.
First I made a copy of the place value template and thought of a number, I thought of 7491.
Next I wrote it in place value base ten blocks, and word form.
Lastly I bloged.
I enjoyed this task beacuse it was short and easy.
I was good at blogging quickly.
I need to improve on making my blogs longer and including more information.
This week for maths we have been subtracting decimals using money as a example.
First I got ONE sheet of paper, it had 12 questions. The questions were very easy.
Next I finished and made a DLO explaning how to subtract decimals.
Lastly I bloged.
I enjoyed I this task because it was easy and short.
I need to improve on checking.
I was good at doing this quickly.
This week for math we have been using money as a example to add decimals.
First I made a copy of the “Warm up” template and answerd the questions. These ones were very easy because it was just a warmup.
Next I got a peice of paper and started answering the real questions, as I beat each page (There was only three) It got harder and harder, on the third one I couldnt even answer the last questions on the last page.
Lastly I bloged my task, sadly because I did it on paper I am not able to share my task.
I enjoyed this task because it was challenging.
I need to improve on solving faster.
I was good at figuring it out easily.
This week we have been solving word problems for the gala in week 8 term 4.
First I learnt the task. The task is that we solve word problems realated to a school gala, the first questions needs a partner and each word problem is a new partner.
Next I did the first question, the question was “What was the best date for the school gala?” In the question there is days where teachers are gone and students are gone. For this question I thought best answer would be 22/2023/11.
Lastly I bloged my task.
I enjoyed this task because it was challenging to solve a bit.
I need to improve on not using different methods to solve equations.
I was good at writing this blog fast.
This week formath we have been revising word problems. Word problems are sentences that need to be solved like for example “Jeff needed 45 cookies but he only has 15 how many will he need to reach his goal”
First I wrote my word problems from last week into a new slide on my class site. When I did that I made a copy and started to answer word problems.
Next I made a copy of the slide to answer everybody else’s word problems. Some of the word questions didn’t make sense so I just passed them.
Lastly I bloged my task.
I enjoyed this task because it was challenging.
I need to improveon division.
I was good at times tables.
I learned about temperature.
First I went on the mat to learn a tiny bit about temperture to get a reminder.
Next I researched the hottest places and coldest places. The hottest place in the world is Death Valley and the Sahara Desert.
Lastly I searched up the t0p temperture of Death Valley and Sahara desert and added the different zones of temperture like the freezing point and the boilling point.
