This week we revised what we already know about place value, we have also started learning about how a number can be represented in many ways.
First I made a copy of the place value template and thought of a number, I thought of 7491.
Next I wrote it in place value base ten blocks, and word form.
Lastly I bloged.
I enjoyed this task beacuse it was short and easy.
I was good at blogging quickly.
I need to improve on making my blogs longer and including more information.
The task for reading this week was a SSR Selfie.
First I made a copy of the SSR Selfie Slides and gotout my book, the book I read was called “ShoutyKid” The story is about Harry, Harry Riddles that took his dads laptop to make a zombie animation that he expects to go viral.
Next I put the title, illustrator, and main character.
Lastly I bloged.
This week we made a treaty of waitangi project.
First I made a copy of the “Triti Project” and made the first slide related to the treaty of waitangi. I put the United Tribes Flag, the actual treaty, and Hone Heke (Heke Pokai).
Next I went onto the next slide, the slide was about what you know, what you would like to know, and what you learnt.
Lastly I bloged.
I enjoyed this task because I like researching stuff.
I was good at putting information in.
I need to improve on finishing the slides faster.
This week I made our pepeha. A “pepeha” is a self portrait mixed with things about you.
First I made a copy of the template. The template included things like our culture, a symbol that is important to us, and our moutain, and awa.
Next I started adding stuff to the template. My important symbol was the cross, maunga (Mountain) being Mt Wellington, culture being of course Maori, and awa (river) being Tamaki River.
Lastly I shared my task and linked it to the Mahi Tracker.
I enjoyed this task because it was fun.
I was good at quickly tracing.
I need to improve on making the trace better.
This week for HPE LS1 did shotput and high jump.
First we did high jump, we were tought 2 different landings. Scissor, and just landing on our bottom. I perfer just landing on the bottom, its funner and more comforble than just puting a hard object on a soft surface.
The next day LS1 group A did shotput, we revised this since we did this back in week 5 – 6. This time I threw futher than normal.
Lastly I bloged.
I enjoyed doing high jump the most since it is really fun to land.
I need to improve on really nothing since I have improved on shotput.

This week for cybersmart Miss White’s cybersmart group have been writing a ver detailed blog post for our pencil holders.
For the first time making my design it was just some simple, easy designs including: Stripes, shapes, and more easy designs. I also made a google form, [Eastons Customer Gala Form] to see what the most popular options were. I was then put into a group of 2, 3, and 4. My group was in 3.
After that I made a design, I chose shapes this was actually more harder than I thought. Since my audience was year 1 to year 8 I made a different design. Character’s! I mean who doesent like characters, they are from, Anime, Movies, and books! Everyone has atleast watched one of every of those topics.
Then I thought of many characters all year groups would like. I thought the best topic would be Anime. I thought of this because most people know Naruto, Tanjiro, Goku, and more.
Lastly I changed some small details, like some colours and lines and background, then bloged.
I enjoyed this task because it was easy but long, I also enjoyed making the product.
I need to improve on wrapping round objects.
I was good at staying on task while bloging.
This week for physical education we have been practicing long jump for athletics day in week ten.
First I got onto 2 line, boys and girls and then started to walk to our new coach, Coach Lazerbeam/Coach Mike.
Next we had a warmup for high jump, two different types of tags, group tag. A tag where if you are taged you have to hold hands with the person that taged you, And cone tag. A tag where you have to tag someone with a cone pretty much normal tag just with a cone.
Lastly I bloged my task.
I enjoyed this task because it was fun and I love physical education.
I need to improve on my stanmina.
I was fast at running.
This week for math we have been using money as a example to add decimals.
First I made a copy of the “Warm up” template and answerd the questions. These ones were very easy because it was just a warmup.
Next I got a peice of paper and started answering the real questions, as I beat each page (There was only three) It got harder and harder, on the third one I couldnt even answer the last questions on the last page.
Lastly I bloged my task, sadly because I did it on paper I am not able to share my task.
I enjoyed this task because it was challenging.
I need to improve on solving faster.
I was good at figuring it out easily.
This week for reading we have been making the apperance of my main character of my narritive.
First I made acopy of the character profile template on Miss Whites reading slide. This has a drawing of the main character and personality stats and the moral of the narritive story.
Next I got a photo and started tracing it. I traced this just for the face and body and hair. My main characters name was Cory.
Lastly I bloged my task.
I enjoyed this task because it was quick and easy.
I need to improve on nothing.
This week for writing we have been writing about our favourite manaiakalani films that we saw at the film festival.
First I made a copyh of the template shown on Ms Tele’as writing slides. The template had, Your name, what happens in the story, your opinion about the movie, who would you recommend this movie to, plot twist, and of course the movie.
Next I started questions. “What Happens ?” In the movie there is a hated boy at his school that has words of insults that he has recived from people. This includes: Weird, annoying, dumb, nerd, fat, smelly Every insult you could imagine! Until, one day where a kind girl that gives his first compliment.
Lastly I bloged my task.
I enjoyed this task because it was fun chosing between my favourite movies.
I need to improve on bloging this task faster.
I was great at doing my first task fast.
